2016 Client Appreciation Event!

2016 Client Appreciation
Event Recap

Real estate is seasonal, and the Spring of 2016 has been quite busy for us! The last few months have given us an opportunity to look back and reflect on how far we’ve come in a short time, through this endeavor of ours.

Early on, we thought we had it all figured out. Before getting into real estate — in fact, before starting our own business even crossed our minds — we were in corporate finance. We’d take turns making moves on the chessboard of our careers until we reached a point of comfort, living narrow lives from 9-5, and hoping for just another 8 hours of vacation time to see us through a long weekend trip here or there.

This didn’t last very long. At all.

With such great jobs, and seemingly bright futures ahead of us, it was a bit of a shock to everyone when we started to share the news that we were…quitting! Quitting the 9-5, starting our “Own Thing”, working for ourselves.

This was it! At the end of 2014, we handed in our resignations, finished the arduous process of getting our real estate licenses, and off we went to build a business.

The last year and a half have flown by, but we wanted more than anything to start a tradition of thanking our clients — past, present, and future! — by throwing a big ol’ party for them.

This year, we opened the gates to not only our clients, but also our family and friends that have supported us through this great transition in our lives. As we build our business brick-by-brick, we find ourselves surrounded by people that want to help us succeed. People that entrust their referrals to us, check in from time to time, or even simply “Like” every post we share as we build recognition.

Words cannot express the appreciation we feel for our loyal clients, family and friends.

For our first year, we rented out a great patio space with OHSO Brewery in Paradise Valley. They were amazing in helping make sure every detail was taken care of, from the open bar, to the food we ordered, and simply making sure everyone was having a fabulous time!

Everyone got to leave with their own Lugo & Co. swag bag! Stefanie hand-tied over 60 little craft-paper bags with all kinds of fun stuff for our people.

We love when our friends post about us on the social webs! Thanks, Rhette!

A huge shipment of freshly printed beer koozies came just in time to be thrown in to the swag bags! We had these done because….wait, do we need a reason? We loved how these turned out!

The food. The drinks. Good people. We all had a tremendous time.

And, of course, at the end we held a raffle with some fun prizes: Two sets of Refresh Wine Cups (so cute!) went home with our guests, Stephanie and Debbie. OHSO Brewery pitched in a growler and a $30 gift card that was won by our buddy, Michael.

Last, but certainly not least, Ira took home the giant basket of insanely delicious goodies from NOMaste Baking Co.!

LOOK AT THAT FACE. That is a happy man!

We were blown away by the response to the whole event. Once the last few friends of ours left, the two of us just took a moment to sit and reflect, and enjoy a last beer to “Cheers!” what we considered was a fabulous party.

It seemed like everyone had such a great time, which is exactly what we aimed for! We are already thinking of ways to make our 2017 Client Appreciation Party just as amazing. In the meantime, thank you all for your business, support, and love!
