Interiors: Style Trends for Spring

Springtime Interior Trends

With Spring in full swing, I’ve been itching to make a few changes to the house. My favorite thing to do is open up all of the doors and windows and let that breezy Phoenix air sweep through our home, for an instant refresher. There really is no better feeling than a bright, airy house after a rainy winter in Arizona, that’s for sure!

In the spirit of this Spring freshness, I’ve collected a few of my favorite interior design trends from Pinterest to share. My goal is always to keep in line with seasonally appropriate trends and comforts, so that you can enjoy the best of each season in your home. Scroll on for more!

Watercolor Florals

There’s nothing like a punch of watercolor to bring a bright breath of fresh air to a room! The easiest way to encapsulate this trend is by adding a few throw pillows to your couches, or updating a strategically placed rug. Add the greatest statement by updating your window treatments: as these are usually the anchor of a room, you will have the largest impact, here.

Chunky Knits and Stripes

Your soft pieces are next! Pack away the flannel and fur throws from winter for a light striped number, like above. Add a statement piece like a chunky pouf or throw pillow to add texture. Just be careful here: use neutral colors and stick to only one or two pieces to keep things sophisticated.

Update Your Vases

Nothing calls on summer  like a vase of fresh-cut blooms! Lighten up your table top by swapping dark or wooden vases for pretty glass or colorful ceramics. Your tulips will be delighted! Bonus: This is a great gift option for a house warming, or just because!

Metallics

Metallics are still super strong in interiors, from Rustic Industrial to Contemporary spaces. Copper especially is having a moment, so this is a great time to find a fun print with the finish incorporated, or even some funky candle holders. Bonus points for updating your pendent lighting!

Interior Botanicals

Old school botanicals have around the last year or two, but my favorite greenery for indoor spaces are cacti and succulents! Liven up a side table or shelving in a snap with these cute little guys. Super low maintenance and almost impossible to kill, too!
