Wedding Wednesday: Engagement Photos!

Okay, I’m trying this new thing: Wedding Wednesdays! And what a better first post than to share our engagement photos? Talk about great timing!

Last week, we had our engagement photos done by the dream-team, husband and wife duo Aslan and Andria Shepard with Shepard Visuals.

We absolutely loved working with Aslan and Andria! Bryce and I knew that we wanted kind of a dark and stormy look for our photos, since we are planning an industrial-chic styled wedding in Downtown Phoenix. The Shepards have this style nailed down, and we were absolutely in love with their work!

When we were trying to decide where we wanted to take our photos, we didn’t even really need a conversation. While the light-and-bright desert photos are alllll the rage right now (and totally gorgeous)…well, you’d never see the two of us traipsing around in the desert. The two of us wanted to do a very authentic shoot that was true to us — and what’s more “Bryce & Stef” than us hanging out at some of the cool spots around Central Phoenix?

The Shepards were kind enough to accommodate our shoot at Rokerij on 16th Street, and The Whining Pig on Bethany Home Rd.

Rokerij is a special place for us, and we have spent our fair share of time here (we even threw our engagement party up on the patio a few weeks back!). We’ve been regulars at The Whining Pig since they opened, and are friends with a few of the owners. If you haven’t been to either spot, we highly recommend them!

Our main goal was to have photos that were authentic and genuine to us. We think that Aslan and Andria perfectly captured this, and we hope you agree!
