Do you know your local businesses? Starting June 27th through July 5th, take the opportunity to celebrate Arizona’s locally-owned and independent businesses with Local First Arizona during the annual Independents Week!
This week will put hundreds of these businesses in the spotlight through great deals, events, and prizes.
Supporting local businesses is near and dear to us. That’s why we love Local First Arizona, a non-profit organization that aims “to strengthen communities and local economies through growing, supporting, and celebrating locally owned businesses throughout the state of Arizona.”
Turns out, this is pretty important: according to the Director of LFA, Kimber Lanning, four times more money stays in our local economy when we patronize local businesses. This results in a stronger, more vibrate local economy that enriches the surrounding neighborhoods! As independent business owners ourselves, that’s certainly something we can get behind. First thing’s first: Take the pledge!
Take the pledge to ‘Buy Local’ during Independents Week. Every person that enters will be entered to win a Phoenix staycation, including a stay at the Clarendon Hotel, a $100 gift card to the Vig (score!), and admission for two to the Phoenix Art Museum. Take the pledge here.
The ‘Golden Coupon’
Hundreds of participating businesses will be accepting the Golden Coupon, which will get you 20% off. Get the deal at a huge variety of businesses, from restuarants, to home improvement services, to yoga studios! Simply download and print the coupon or pull it up on your smartphone. Scottsdale Pub Crawl
This year, the 3rd annual Indie Week Pub Crawl is taking place in Old Town Scottsdale! Take a stroll in downtown Scottsdale and enjoy local drinks while supporting local establishments. Though this is a 21+ event, it is open to the public. Each stop will feature a $4 drink special!
