Arizona has so much to offer, and it seems like every time we turn around there’s something new to love!

This time of year, the valley has some beautifully mild weather. Think, crisp mornings and cool, clear days – perfect patio weather!

But if you’re like me, you’re itching for just a quick jaunt off to cooler temps and holiday feels. That’s where we look to Northern Arizona to satisfy that itch!

We were recently hosted by the good folks at The Strawberry Inn for our own little getaway, with less than a 2-hour drive door-to-door. I’m here to tell you that it is the best place for a quick stay at any time of the year!

A Stay at The Strawberry Inn

Strawberry is a small town just north of Payson, Arizona. From the valley, it’s less than a 2-hour drive to rolling pine forests, cooler temps, and even snow at the right time of the year! In this cute little town, you’ll find a few charming shops, good food, and fun drinking holes like That Brewery (if you’re into that kind of thing!).

The Strawberry Inn is a boutique hotel that is perfect for a romantic getaway, a convenient stop for road trippers, or a family vacation. And, since there are plenty of hiking trails and natural water springs nearby, you can get some fresh air in, too! The Inn is recently completely renovated and it truly feels like a home away from home.

Immediatly you notice the sharp exterior colors – that dark grey with the white trim is just gorgeous, but the red doors take the cake! The property has strong Dutch features that make it feel uber cozy and welcoming. A stunning windmill in the front is darling. Word has it that at one point, it used to house a little cappuccino shop. Now, it provides the perfect photo backdrop!

It felt like every detail of the exterior was thoughtfully selected to greet you the moment you arrive.

Bryce and I love this sort of place because it’s easy to get in and out of. The Inn operates almost like an Airbnb. Check in is online and you just show up for your reservation. Plus, they have fast Wi-Fi – good for us who have to work on the go (or snap a pic for IG!).

Along the outside of The Inn, there were plenty of spaces to chill and just take in that gorgeous mountain air. From the rocking chairs up in center, to the picnic tables out front, to the aderondak chairs lining the second floor balcony, there was a space for anyone to be comfortable. It felt like the common theme: “Come by, relax, get comfortable.”

The rooms are soooo cute! You know our little designer’s hearts are all about these plush guestrooms. The beds are SO comfortable, and the special little design touches are gorgeous. Bathrooms are clean and accessible. BONUS: When we arrived, the cable TV was already switched to the Hallmark Christmas Channel! Score!

Each room is a little different from the other. But, you’ll find beautiful wood-like floors, shiplapped walls (YES!) and cute light fixtures. The furniture feels like each piece was carefully selected for each room’s personal vibe. You simply feel at home the moment you walk in.

The day we arrived was SUPER cloudy, cozy and chilly – my favorite weather! We were only there for one night, but for us that’s wonderful. With both of us elbow-deep in the businesses, it’s really important to be able to have time to steal away. Even if just for a few hours, we need to reconnect and recenter. Otherwise, when we are both in town, there is nothing stopping us from working endlessly!

During our stay, we were able to snap some holiday photos and I can most definitely see this Inn as a picture-perfect place to capture special memories! I’m a lucky girl because Bryce let me convince him to wear these adorable Lauren Conrad matching pajamas, and they were not only comfy but super cute! If you’re not matching with your man, wyd? Ha!

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Bryce and Stefanie Moment without a little bubbly. 🙂
